“Turing Test_Love” by Franny Choi



1. Incorporate or respond to one of the following passages in your poem:

  • “smile / even if as you sense it / trying / not to blurt out / monster

  • “stick to your syntax / though it be muddled / mussed / though it be machete… if they use it against you / it is yours / to make sing”

  • “all humans / are cyborgs / all cyborgs / are sharp shards / of sky / wrapped in meat / be delicate / as you approach this subject

2. Complete a list poem borrowing the following passage from the poem: “do not try to prove your / what is the word / humanity / you are [start your list here]”


3. Write an ars poetica that enacts how ChatGPT might go about composing a poem.
